As a Maintenance Mechanic you will:
- Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies
- Operates industrial lifts (i.e., fork trucks, clamp trucks, boom, scissor lifts, etc.)
- Informs appropriate management, operators, and line mechanics of potential mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved
- Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records
- Performs preventive maintenance functions
- Installs, tests, adjusts, and repairs all mechanical systems and equipment in the facility and warehouses
- Makes necessary measurements, estimates materials required, and requisitions supplies as needed
- Performs root cause analysis when problems arise
- Notifies the Maintenance Group Leader of any major issues.
- Maintains 5S in assigned area.
- Follows maintenance schedule and completes necessary reports
- Maintains work system tools
- Work at heights and in overhead structures, work beneath machines and in close quarters or confined spaces, performing analysis and repair work
- Communicates effectively with oncoming shifts and all departments .
- Meets required Key Performance Metrics
- Fulfills overtime requirements as necessary
Maintenance Mechanic candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- 18 years or older, required
- 3+ years Industrial Maintenance Mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment, required
- Possesses basic hand tools to complete most tasks
- A thorough knowledge of mechanical components, industrial equipment, and building structure including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience and ability reading blueprints and technical diagrams
- Maintains a positive team environment
- Demonstrated organizational skills and highly detail oriented
- Basic mathematical skills including all units of measure, fractions, and decimals
- Takes direction well; ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without accommodation. This includes walking or standing for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours; climbing stairs; working at heights and confined spaces, lifting to 50 pounds; carrying up to 30 pounds; lowering up to 30 pounds from a height of 4 feet; pushing up to 250 pounds using carts or other various tools; visual acuity and depth perception; working in various temperatures and humidity levels
