The Best Western Plus University Inn is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team.

Attention to detail and pride in your work are essential characteristics of the ideal candidate for this position. This is a physical, often fast-paced job with multiple demands on your time. Prioritization skills are a plus. No two days are alike. There is an opportunity to make a positive and lasting impression on our guests and a valuable contribution to the success of our hotel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repair and maintain hotel property to a high standard of excellence.

The job position includes but isn't limited to simple electrical, plumbing, painting, HVAC servicing, PTHP replacement, roofing, grounds and other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to work well with others in a diverse working environment.
• Must have flexible availability in scheduling to include weekends and holidays if required. Some night call-outs could happen but aren't typical.
• Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift. Must be able to lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight, up to 75 lbs.
• Position requires bending, reaching, and kneeling to perform duties. Good walking shoes are necessary.

A familiarity with Hotel Preventative maintenance is a plus
A good candidate will be a self-starter who can work unsupervised at times during the day and is self-directing once the job is outlined.
