We are looking for a Director of Quality to join a world class lithium metal anode company. Summary: This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and periodically evaluating systems to ensure the organization’s production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate production operations from a strategic level to ensure that products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specifications and requirements.
• Collaborate with management and senior staff across production departments and roles to draft acceptable quality standards
• Develop and implement quality standard testing and evaluation processes; update and revise processes/procedures as applicable
• Facilitate communication among production divisions and management.
• Assess test results and approve recommended changes.
• Conduct inspections and quality control checks.
• Provide Quality Assurance support for operations including final inspection of materials/products.
• Provide training and technical leadership to less experienced staff
• Oversee and assist quality with systems and processes that assure product meets or exceeds internal and customer standards and regulatory requirements.
• Understand and follow internal SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), etc.
• Act as liaison between production and Quality to ensure understanding of scheduling and requirements allowing for efficient production and timely release of samples/products
• Work with customers, ensure expectations are being met regarding products, samples to be sent, and release requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical and Industrial Engineering preferred). Master’s Degree preferred.
• 7+ years of quality assurance/quality engineer experience in manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of management experience
• Significant experience leading teams and managing quality systems staff.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze already existing operations for quality assurance deficits and proactively design interventions and monitoring procedures to correct deficits.
• Ability to make decisions impacting product and sample safety based on independent judgment and discretion.
• Time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Must have strong communication skills (via phone, email, and in-person)
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $85,000 - $120,000
