What are the responsibilities of a Manager on Duty?
- Provide shift leadership to a team of 5-6 people while also communicating with housekeeping, engineering and other departments to ensure that the shift is running efficiently
- Use the appropriate resources to collaborate and solve any issues that arise during the shift and anticipate how future shifts will be affected and communicate that information
- Prioritize and coordinate tasks to maintain smooth daily operations of the hotel including Front Desk, Porters, Housekeeping, Engineering and Event Assistance
- Learn how to use the phone, computer programs and other hotel systems and procedures to aid in taking care of our guests
- Coach fellow colleagues on ways that we can cause ever increasing levels of delight for our guests while following the intentions listed in our missions
- Take responsibility for recruiting and hiring great people, then develop them into Lucky Star staff members
- Be an advocate for our guests and staff members
- Establish and maintain hotel and guest relationships by learning what our guests need and communicating those needs to the appropriate departments
- Have a passion for safety and maintain a high level of cleanliness and a sanitary work place at all times
