Manager Quality Assurance Job at Autonation
Position Summary:
A leader of a team within a larger unit/ function with members who possess common skill sets and with similar objectives. Responsible for team development and resource coordination.
Job Responsibilities:
- Typically manages a single team of technical contributors, responsible for the effective coordination and execution of the work of the team, focusing on annual objectives that have been provided by more senior leaders.
- Manages the team within established budget, including the reallocation of funds based on shifting priorities.
- Provides the technical oversight and leadership necessary to accomplish work with necessary understanding and alignment with peer unit leaders.
- Coaches and guides team members.
- Provides input to financial and people resource plans for the area. Ensures resources are in place and operating effectively within the technical discipline.
- Develops work plans and priorities for the area based on objectives received.
- Makes hiring recommendations.
- Is responsible for all performance related activities, including performance reviews. Provides input to compensation decisions.
- Integrates internal and external resources to meet the needs of the business.
- Identifies areas of risk and develops remediation strategies, or escalates as necessary.
- Ensures that team members are aware of and aligned to AutoNation goals and objectives.
- Manages labor budget between $500k - $1M and capital expenditures $1M - $2M.
Technical Expertise:
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of the technical area supervised. Serves as a technical resource to those supervised.
- Is familiar with all AutoNation functions and services. Identifies, understands, and manages key technical issues.
- Enforces key technical decisions, budgets, standards, and policies.
- Recommends changes to technical directions and policies to more senior management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
