Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

Plan, organize and direct the activities of the Telecommunications Department in accordance with applicable administrative and regulatory requirements. Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

What you will do in this role:

• Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and make recommendations for personnel requirements to the Director of Facilities Management.
• Maintains time and attendance logs, inputs all manual corrections into payroll systems, tracks and logs attendance records, assigns log distance authorization coeds to authorized personnel.
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards.
• Responds to and resolves problems and complaint raised by internal and external customers including physicians, patients and staff.
• Maintains facilities and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Performs duties of PBX Operator as needed as well as all other duties as assigned or requested.
• Regular, punctual and dependable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Controls traffic by directing drivers.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Proficient in English
• Nortel PBX
• Knowledge of Code Blue/Fire Alarm Procedures and all other emergency procedures
• Ability to work and remain calm under pressure
• Previous Supervisory experience preferred
