Job Description:


The Supply Chain Manager, Procurement is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering supply chain programs, tools, and processes for multiple supply chain functions including commodity management, material management, procurement, and subcontracts. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring sourcing efforts meet business goals and objectives through working with functional leaders to perform analysis and identify areas for performance improvement.



Essential Functions:


  • Oversees and supports implementation of strategic initiatives, as well as activities related to global sourcing, supplier selection, product delivery specifications, and quality.

  • Establishes, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.

  • Develops and maintains working relationships with global supply chain partners.

  • Designs and implements business metrics to monitor, track, and report sourcing project progress.

  • Communicates with parties within and outside of the organization which includes customers or vendors.

  • Works to influence others to accept individual or team’s views or practices and changes to concepts, practices, and approaches.

  • Communicates with leadership regarding matters of importance to the function or business area. May conduct briefings with senior leaders.

  • May develop new concepts or standards.

  • Conducts extensive investigation to understand root cause of problems. Problems span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across the function and/or business area.

  • Aids in the development of a team, coaching and guiding when needed.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 9 years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, procurement, or supply chain; or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the previously listed areas.

  • 3-4 years of Management experience at minimum for a least 5+ supply chain professionals.

  • 2-3 years of experience with strategic sourcing across multiple commodities (i.e. electronic assemblies, electronic components, etc.).

  • 1-2 years of experience building strong business case to support sourcing decisions.

  • Previous experience presenting and discussing strategy & analysis with internal & external stakeholders, including customers & vendors.

  • 1-2 years of project management experience.
