POSITION OVERVIEW
The Wedding and Events Manager will contribute to the creation and delivery of world-class wedding and event experiences at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Create and maintain a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance, feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and Member satisfaction
- Maintain an open perspective, provide ideas to better the department, and be able to adapt to a changing environment
- Share catering and event knowledge with the team to help promote collaboration and development
- Proactively seek business and implement new products & packages to increase revenue for weddings
- Work in conjunction with our Marketing team to monitor the wedding website and rotate offers and imagery to attract guests
- Accurately forecast and provide various reports based on assigned groups
- Generate weekly reports showing wedding and revenue data and analytics
- Assist team in providing service levels resulting in maximum profitability and the highest guest satisfaction
- In collaboration with the Associate Director of Weddings and Social Events, create and develop wedding packages and negotiate with vendors for décor, entertainment, floral, photography, and graphics
- Consult and confer with clients on their wedding details, including ceremony and reception venue details and overall execution
- Conduct tours of our event facilities, sleeping rooms, and other areas of the hotel
- Meet and entertain couples on the property of definite business
- Generate wedding and event prospectus, contracts, and event orders and all production requirements.
- Ensure all policies, procedures, and department SOPs are being followed
- Review and prepare timely event orders to successfully set up Culinary and Operations
- Coordinate with all operations departments the set-up, service, and breakdown of all functions and confirm that all necessary equipment is on hand (both in-house and rental).
- Collaborate with the Culinary team on creative menu proposals and out-of-the-box experiences for our couples
- Responsible for complying with Title 26 policies and procedures
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a large, luxury resort setting
- Minimum of three (3) years of hotel experience in Weddings, Special Events, or Event Planning
- Title 26 knowledge required
- Experience in luxury guest experience training
- Knowledge of food and beverage products, meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, audio-visual, and any other pertinent details as they relate to function and room set-up
- Provide the ultimate experience for all clients while providing the highest level in standards of service without sacrificing quality
- Ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations during busy periods
- Must have proven selling, negotiating, and presentation skills and strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft application tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to provide leadership and direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to lead and mentor a team
- Excellent organizational skills; be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays, nights, and weekends
- Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will supervise Wedding Assistant Manager and Wedding and Events Coordinator.

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
