Marketing Content Editor Job at Venator Performance Marketing
We hope you’ll join the marketing team at VenatorPM! VenatorPM manages a diverse set of B2C and B2B brands across several industries. As Content Editor, you’ll work together with brand owners to understand our audience’s interests and create insightful content that makes readers feel informed and eager to engage with us and our clients.
Our B2B marketing work includes the management of our own brand and of client brands, primarily in SaaS software and healthcare. The Content Editor will collaborate with our clients to communicate their unique offerings in a compelling, accessible way.
With our consumer brands, we are dedicated to offering wellness solutions to our community that provide them with deeper knowledge, access to caring professionals, and updates on new technologies. Your goal is to help consumers make sense of complicated information in a way that is as engaging as possible.
**This position is remote-optional. We do have an office in downtown Chicago that our employees are welcome to use; however, this position can be done remotely. The majority of our staff operates in the Central Time Zone.
Responsibilities:
- Write and edit advertisements, newsletters, website copy, social media posts, and other marketing content
- Write and edit SEO-optimized articles for health and wellness blogs and professional sites
- Work collaboratively with brand owners to develop brand-defining content strategy, calendars
- Organize content generation workflows, from research and planning to publication
- Manage a team of internal and freelance copywriters
- Ensure all submitted copy is impeccable, in proper formatting and style, optimized for the target audience, SEO-optimized, and devoid of grammatical, syntactical and other errors
- Cultivate a sense of community among our readers
- Identify and build content strategy around topics that resonate with our readers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field
- 3+ years of experience with marketing content preferred
- Expert knowledge of grammatical and style conventions
- Experience writing useful and fun-to-read articles for a broad audience
- Experience working within the Shopify, Wordpress, Squarespace platforms
- Expert knowledge of Google analytics and SEO-optimization techniques
- Reliable delivery of content to meet deadlines
- Strong storytelling skills
- Strong copywriting skills
- Creativity and flexibility to meet challenges and find new opportunities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Self-starter able to work independently in a semi-structured environment

Venator Performance Marketing is located on Wacker Drive, near the Willis Tower. We have adopted a mostly-remote working environment. Local employees are welcome to use the office; however, many roles--including this one--have the option to be fully remote.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
