Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts and help us expand our presence in the rapidly evolving gaming industry, with particular emphasis on the web3 gaming ecosystem. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that build community, drive user acquisition, enhance brand visibility, and foster long-term player engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both brand marketing and paid user acquisition in the game industry, a strong understanding of current mobile gaming trends, and a familiarity with the web3 gaming ecosystem. As a Marketing Manager, you will lead a cross-functional team to create and implement successful campaigns that promote our games, enhance user experience, and generate revenue.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research, benchmarking and consumer studies to identify game target audiences and define its positioning, marketing pillars and USP
  • Maintain the game brand identity (title, packaging, tone of voice, marketing storytelling, etc.)
  • Manage the creation of promotional assets (trailers, web assets, screenshots, store descriptions, etc.)
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of quarterly marketing plans and integrated marketing strategies, including brand positioning, creative campaigns, PR, social media, influencer and streamer marketing, standard paid user acquisition channels, and emerging web3 UA channels.
  • Assist the VP of Growth in choosing, implementing, and testing the Web2 and Web3 user acquisition attribution stack.
  • Manage and optimize paid user acquisition campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Meta, Google, Apple Search Ads) to drive sustainable growth and meet ROI targets.
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data-driven insights to optimize performance and inform future marketing decisions.
  • Work closely with the community coordinator to develop strategies for maintaining, growing, and engaging our base of fans and followers.
  • Lead and collaborate with the product and development teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with game updates, new feature launches, and overall company goals.
  • Increase the visibility of our games in mobile app stores and other platforms by employing App Store Optimization (ASO) techniques and, when necessary, engaging contract experts.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in mobile gaming, including in the web3 gaming ecosystem, and leverage this knowledge to create innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with our target audience.

  • Manage relationships with external agencies, partners, and vendors to maximize campaign efficiency and reach.
  • Monitor competitor activity and adjust marketing strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in something that interested you at the time. It doesn't have to be anything related to marketing, and if it's something totally different and you have a good story about your journey from your degree to selling video games, you might catch our attention. Masters degree? Even better.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on mobile gaming and a proven track record of success in both brand marketing and user acquisition.
  • Some understanding of web3 gaming ecosystem, blockchain technology, and NFTs, with experience in marketing web3 games being a significant advantage.
  • Proficient in performance marketing tools, including ad platforms (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads), attribution tools (e.g., Adjust, AppsFlyer), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams, managing external partners, and leading high-performing teams.
  • The ability to write beautiful, cohesive paragraphs made up of interesting sentences of varying length that flow from one to the next with such effortless aplomb that they bring smiles to whomever is reading them. You know who you are.

Base Salary Range: 110,000 - 173,000 The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
