We are seeking a high energy, friendly, motivated self-starter, who loves working with children and adults alike, and has a martial arts background. If you have the requisite experience, and are enthusiastic and passionate about the value martial arts adds to a person’s life, you are what we are looking for!
An assistant instructor is an extra set of eyes and ears for the head instructor. They are there to enhance the student’s experience through assistance in training and assistance of the head instructor.
Classroom Floor Duties:
Warmly greet students when they arrive and encourage students as the leave the instructional mats and the building
Helping younger kids sign into class
Lead Student Creeds
Helping kids find and put on sparring gear, tie their belts correctly, etc.
Walking the lines drills/exercises, making small corrections as needed
Keeping kids energized, focused and on task
Learning the class plans, line ups, drills and communications a head instructor uses
Memorize and be able to give mat chat
Learn and execute the Premier Martial Arts Cycle of Instruction
Consistently return targets, bags and pads to their places neatly to keep the floor organized and neat
Assist in motivating and building professional relationships with the students and families
Working towards being able to quality teach classes on their own or with another assistant
Weapon training:
Must be able to Bo staff, Nun chucks ,and/or Stick fighting
Schedule:
Set hours each week are
4pm-9pm Mon,Tues, Thurs, Fri
Additional hours will be on as needed basis

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.50 - $20.00 per hour
