Massage Therapist – Independent Contractor

Alquimia Wellness is a well-established privately woman-owned Acupuncture & Massage Therapy clinic located in trendy North Williamsburg, close both to the L and G trains. We are not a spa but rather a wellness clinic, providing our clients at all times with a personalized experience in order to help them achieve the results they are looking for.

We are looking for a very professional, reliable and self-sufficient massage therapists to join the practice as an independent contractor to work on weekends (one or both days). This is a great opportunity to work in a non-spa setting but yet in a calm and relaxing environment, along with no more than 1-3 other therapist working on the same day.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• NYS Massage Therapy License
• Covered by professional liability insurance
• 5+ years experience
• Prenatal Massage Certification
• Work weekends (one or both days)

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, body alignment, and movement.
• Excel in deep tissue techniques, and other massage therapy modalities, in order to address clinically oriented sessions.
• Excellent client relational skills, including giving feedback to clients after sessions, discussing future treatment, and suggesting simple self-care strategies for between sessions
• Strong ability to keep detailed notes
• Certified and specializing in Lymphatic Drainage is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $100.00 (depending length of session) + Tips
