This planner/scheduler performs a wide variety of complex planning activities required to attain production objectives. Assignments are generally the most complex within planning activities and include the attainment of planning objectives where products or production processes are new or manufacturing processes are variable.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Work with Purchasing to obtain and schedule materials based on production forecasts.
- Work with Engineering and related areas to develop tools and procedures to maximize facility and equipment utilization.
- Direct and assist lower-level planners as needed.
- Utilization of SAP, Microsoft Excel, etc.
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 5 years related experience.
Requires strong knowledge of a variety of manufacturing activities including purchasing, materials, production processes and engineering. Must be able to understand and apply engineering specifications. Requires effective verbal and written communications. Must be able to use Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Must have knowledge of SAP. Must have strong communication skills. Must have demonstrated some leadership skills in the past.
