SUMMARY:

There are (3) openings for this position, one each shift. (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Please state the shift you are applying to.

The Material Handler is responsible for preparing goods for final put away including labeling, wrapping or bagging and stacking on pallets or in carts. Minor duties include scrap regrind, housekeeping and minor machine operations. IN THIS ROLE, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

• Receive product from production line to packing table Label material and pack into bags or use plastic wrapping for protection.
• Package final items: coils onto pallet or sticks into delivery area.
• Ensure product is the correct type and labelled correctly.
• Count and wrap final pallets for inventory put away Assists Quality Control to identify issues (color, finish, print, etc.). Understands basic operation of cutting/ packaging equipment o Be able to operate saw, coiler and switch between the two o Be able to load pre-defined coiler programs.
• Any additional duties assigned by management.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of education and/or experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

• Minimum completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift/handle packages up to 50lbs. Ability to obtain a hi-lo license. Basic operation of production equipment. Effectively communicate with operators on equipment or product issues. HAVE A GOOD ATTENDANCE RECORD. Must be a team player. Able to work individually at the same time. Strive to improve production processes and product quality. Able to make sound judgments.
