Entegris, Inc. is a global leader in contamination control, specialty material handling, and advanced process materials for the semiconductor industry. We are developing next generation pads for CMP, for the semiconductor industry. For this role, we are looking for a motivated and energetic mechanical engineering Co-op to work in the R& D team. The Co-op selected for this position will apply his expertise to understand the problem, develop hypothesis and develop solutions with new concepts; He will also lead prototyping , contribute to developing test methods and performing tests and gather/ analyze data using cutting-edge measurment tools and communicate his/her findings to the Team. If you enjoy, Applying Scientific method to the problems, doing hands-on experiments and want to have valuable experience in advanced semiconductor product development and manufacturing, this Co-op is a fantastic opportunity for you!
In this role you will:
- Be an independant resource to contribute with potential geometry and material solutions to the problems assigned.
- Ability to translate concepts in to working and Manufacturable prototypes.
- Assist with prototype testing.
- Be a resource for the R& D team by helping in data collection and analysis using statistical methods
- Perform controlled experiments and present the results of analytical tests to team
- Develop new CAD drawings and 3D models for fixtures used in assembly and testing of surface modification products.
- Create documentation for different process steps involved in different products.
- Work with production, quality and other teams as required.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
- Has a positive attitude and willingness to listen and learn from other teammates
- Ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate clear communication skills
- Proficiency in CAD , CAE is a plus
- Knowledge of Polymeric materials, and Mfg. methods is a plus
- Masters in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mechanics and Structural Engineering preferred.
- Sophomore and above student in operating laboratory equipment and generating/interpreting data (Graduation - Dec 2024)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work with common hand held tools for assembling and fixturing products
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment with all PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment)
