We are currently seeking a highly motivated Medical Assistant to join our practice. Asthma & Allergy Associates has served Central New York, the Finger Lakes and the Southern Tier for over 40 years. We have offices located in Ithaca, Cortland, Elmira, Vestal, and Fayetteville.

This position is in place to support the physicians and mid-level providers in the practice with clinical activities and direct patient care. This position may also assist in appointment scheduling and other related activities for optimal patient service.

Please note: Positions will require travel between 2 office locations.

Ithaca and Cortland

Our offices are open Monday-Friday, NO Nights, Weekends, or Holidays!

Certified Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Perform clinical duties in accordance with the scope of practice per CMA certification and in accordance with NYS laws and regulations.
• Obtains vitals, medical history and medications and documents in EMR.
• Responsible for complete and accurate documentation of patient communications.
• Stocks patient examination rooms and nurse’s station.
• Ability to perform Front office duties as needed.

Familiarity with EMR systems (Medent, in particular) is an asset.
