We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to help support our busy cardiology team. The successful candidate will have three years Medical Assistant experience working closely with providers and support staff in a team based enrivonment. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and is proficient in a variety of medical software programs, such as medical record keeping applications, knowledge of care management, prior authorization of medications a plus however not required.

Responsibilities:

• Abide by established office policies and procedures.
• Provide administrative support to physicians.
• Work with providers on obtaining surgical clearances for patients as well as inform patients of normal test results at the direction of your assigned provider.
• Gather information about patients in need of medical attention and communicate to physicians.
• Non clinic days candidate will work closely with other staff on medication refills.
• Provide medical care to patients including taking vital signs, EKG's, and preparing patients for examination.
• Communicate with physicians regarding patient care.
• Achieve medical training requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
