Position Summary: The
Medical Receptionist projects a positive image and identifies needs and expectations by providing excellent patient service and executing scheduling procedures. This position works onsite in our call center.
Responsibilities:
- Follows practice procedures for appointment entry, scheduling, and rescheduling appointments.
- Follows practice procedures for clinical messaging in the EMR/EHR.
- Works online appointment requests as delegated by Manager.
- Interprets appointment requests and schedules patient appointments based on clinic policies and physician preferences.
- Answers questions regarding patient appointments as requested.
- Safeguards patient information and ensures all information remains confidential.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in check-in, check-out, call-center, or a combination role.
- Experience with Centricity is a plus.
- High School Diploma, GED, or a combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
