The overall purpose of the Medical Records/Central Supply position is to initiate medical charts and manage nursing supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of all aspects of the medical records for both active and discharged records.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Weekly ordering of nursing supplies within a budget, management of inventory, and stocking supply rooms.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of medical records experience required, preferably in long-term care.
  • Three to Five (3-5) years of experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute care setting in a similar role.
  • Ability to work with colleagues, physicians, and other health care professionals.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organization skills required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
