Overview:
  • Full-time / 1.0 FTE / 80 hours biweekly
  • Day shift / 8a-5p
  • Monday - Friday / No weekends or holidays
  • Mercyhealth hospital - Janesville

This position is accountable for sorting and scanning medical record documents into the electronic medical record, providing MyChart support to our customers and processing all medical record requests according to the department procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Sorting, scanning and indexing MHS approved documents while maintaining accuracy and consistently.
  • Responsible for routing deficient documents to the proper clinics.
  • Accurately complete scanning competency evaluation and will be monitored by QA standards.
  • Research and resolve MyChart questions received both internally from Mercy Health System partners and externally from MHS patients.
  • Process incoming requests via e-mail, voicemail, telephone or online messaging for MyChart account activation and proxy access from patients.
  • Route computerized requests for paper medical record retrieval.
  • Process medical record requests.
  • Greet customers to the department and assist them as necessary.
  • Answer department telephones and route calls if necessary.
  • Provide coverage within the department as needed.
Education and Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent
Must have general knowledge of all medical documents and medical terminology.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include frequent close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
