We are looking for a friendly, team oriented candidate to take care of and merchandise plants and cut flowers for local Target stores.

Job Summary:

The merchandiser is responsible for the maintenance and display arrangement of plant products to local stores in their assigned region. The employee will help to drive sales by ensuring a high-quality, fully stocked display in stores.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Pull products from each store’s designated area, and bring them to the display

· Check product for sell by dates, bad flowers, mold, or other defects

· Check plant soil and water if needed

· Reorganize shelves and clean all surfaces of the display to follow standards and schematics

· Clean floor around the display of any spilled soil or water

· Communicate and give report via company-approved communication apps, including taking pictures to be uploaded to the app

o This includes: the display before service, remaining back stock of both flowers and plants, any damaged items, the display after the service, vendor binder sign in/out, and the sign out

· Communicate and give report to store management regarding the status of the displays when finished

· Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Knowledge of merchandising best practices

· Creativity, and a knowledge of how to best present products

Education and Experience:

· Some experience with merchandising, sales, or floral work preferred

· Valid Driver’s License required

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time

· Must be able to use/willing to learn to use a pallet jack and flat cart

· Must have the ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and reach to complete assigned tasks
