Soliel is currently seeking multiple Mid-Level Network Engineers to support our DoD customer. The objective of the Mid-Level Network Engineer is to apply your expertise in network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, boarder gateway protocol, virtual routing, and forwarding as you support our team of problem-solvers to help the DoD evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies.

Location: Primary Fort Meade, Maryland/Secondary Contractor Site

Start Date: June 2023

Clearance: Interim Top Secret

Key Responsibilities:

• Designs, engineers, integrates, implements, tests, deploys, maintains, reviews and administers the infrastructure, hardware and software that are required to effectively manage the security and risk posture of the network and resources in alignment with security strategy
• Develops system concepts and applies the network systems engineering lifecycle to translate strategic objectives, technology and environmental conditions into engineering outcomes and solutions
• Provides site support and supervision for the installation and deployment of network infrastructure and solution
• Provides support for complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions
• Functions as a technical expert within a site deployment team and across multiple project assignments
• Assists with maintaining accountability for site inventory, hardware, tools, and supplies
• Some OCONUS travel may be required

Required Skills:

• Interim Top Secret clearance
• 3-7 years of relevant IT network engineering and design experience for large enterprises or government clients
• 3-7 years of experience with network design, network architecture, and solution deployment
• High degree of understanding of VMWare, network security, and Palo Alto fire wall
• Experience with multiple vendors networking solutions, including Cisco, HP/Aruba, Palo Alto, Arista or Juniper
• Bachelor degree in IT, Systems Engineering, or other technical degree preferred. Years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
• IAT II DoD 8570 certification
• Ability to plan and lead technology assignments

Preferred Skills:

• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
• Some experience with SD-WAN
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
• Ability to work well within a team-oriented setting
• Ability to travel up to 40%
