Cherry Gulch is a nationally renowned therapeutic boarding school for middle school boys, providing innovative and cutting-edge services to boys and families from all over the world. We are located in the foothills of Emmett, ID overlooking the beautiful Black Canyon Reservoir and Payette River. The school is a 30-45 minute drive from the greater Boise valley.

Milieu Support Specialists at Cherry Gulch are responsible for supporting the implementation of the clinical aspects of our program. This position works as part of the clinical team to support our Senior Therapists by facilitating various groups, doing check-ins with students, assisting with case management, and implementing service plan related interventions into the daily activities of the students.

Full-Time and Part-time Milieu Support Specialists at Cherry Gulch will need to demonstrate the following:

• Ability to facilitate effective groups and interventions with middle school-age students in a residential setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
• Ability to empower, teach, and support direct care staff.
• Must be able to work effectively as a part of a team.
• Ability to understand treatment plans, case notes, and assessments.
• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work evening hours

Other Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and Idaho state licensure as an LSW.
• Experience working with kids and/or families preferred.
