We are looking for a Loan Servicing Coordinator to provide clerical/administrative support in pre and post-closing duties as well as assist in showing home models to Tribal Members interested in purchasing on the Reservations. The staff schedule is full-time Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.

Note the Housing Office is located on the Hollywood Reservation 5700 Griffin Road, Davie, FL 33314. On occasion we may need you to travel part of the day to other Reservations such as Clewiston, Immokalee, and Okeechobee. We try to carpool when possible and utilize of the department vehicles.

Position Summary

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing clerical/administrative support and assistance to the Housing Loan Counselors and performing loan processing duties. The Loan Coordinator gathers data, updates systems, create reports, and ascertain mortgage loans are timely and accurately paid and processed. Ensures mortgage loans are accurately recorded with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). The incumbent is responsible for providing quality control and performing Post-Closing duties, tracking of recorded documents and assembling loan files. The individual facilitates the coordination and communication between the Housing Department, the Treasurer’s Office, the Tribal Community, BIA, Mortgage Loan Lenders and other internal and external departments, to responds to questions, facilitates solutions, and provide general coordination and monitoring. The incumbent reports pertinent information to their supervisors and responds to inquiries or requests for housing related information.

Qualifications / Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Finance or related field is required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a mortgage institution, Bank, Realtor’s Office or performing administrative/clerical duties in support of a department is required. Possession of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Counselor Certification, or ability to obtain within 12-months of employment, is required. Knowledge of mortgage loan origination program and understanding of the Mortgage Loan Process through closing is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent customer service, telephone skills and English written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate computer literacy in Microsoft Office software programs. Demonstrate advanced excel knowledge and application. Must be able to travel across reservations and work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
