Job Summary
This position is responsible for working directly with patients and assisting radiologists and/or staff physicians while performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations in concordance with Physicians orders. This professionally trained person will be responsible for the operation of MRI scanners, flow rate injectors, patient monitoring systems, and a picture archiving system. This position is responsible for the use of radiographic supplies including gadolinium contrast while providing patient care and patient safety as established by department standards. This position is responsible for performing a variety of basic secretarial, clerical and housekeeping functions such as customer service, examination and work area cleaning, telephone communications, computer system data entry, information retrieval, (HIS, RIS, PACS), and infection control. This position, in addition to superb technical skills, will also require the ability to follow the CRMC service commitments to customers and fellow staff. Other duties as assigned.

Graduate of an AMA accredited school of radiologic technology. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology as a Radiographer and MR technologist. Or become certified in MR one year (12 months) after completion of all MR competency exams.
Experience:
4 years of experience in Radiology and 2 years experience in MRI is preferred.
Operates Magnetic Resonance Imagers, flow regulated injectors, UPS systems, patient monitors, hospital computer systems and other associated Imaging Department equipment. Must interact with professional and caring attitude toward patients, families and other hospital employees in times of stress. Must handle pressure, stress and numerous interruptions associated with busy schedules in the MRI department.

Salary: $64,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
