The ideal candidate has seen success in community-based new home sales and is looking for more flexibility in their schedule. Our on you lot team works in hybrid role and assists prospects in home selection, determining site costs, home design, and ultimately bringing our customers’ homes to life. Davis is a local, family-owned builder specializing in on your lot custom homes throughout central Indiana. We also build new homes in communities in and around Indianapolis. Our experienced teams lead home buyers through all aspects of the building process from land assessment through final inspection and beyond.
Day to day aspects of the position Include:
Fielding new leads provided by our in-house marketing department.
Developing and maintaining relationships with leads, prospects, and customers.
Meeting with customers to discuss budgets, discover wants and needs, build home quotes, assist with determining site development costs, discuss financing options and closing the sale.
Completing required paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion
Obtaining and analyzing market data critical to competition analysis
Taking customers through our model home center or demonstrating homes under construction
Generating referrals and leads through face-to-face marketing at our models, realtor and industry events, social media posting, and other opportunities to mingle with potential customers.
Connecting with realtors to schedule model home center walk-through appointments and market ready home tours.
Demonstrating a strong effort to make use of new sales techniques and strategies in a consultative selling style.
Continually improving and adding to your product knowledge and home sales/home building industry acumen.
Additional Requirements:
As an On Your Lot Sales Consultant, you must possess a consultative sales approach, a confident and enthusiastic personality, and an eagerness to hone your entrepreneurial skills. You must have exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills as well as creativity and innovation in attracting customers. You must be an excellent self-manager who is driven, energetic, competitive and decisive, with a genuine desire to work effectively with home shoppers. You must also be able to work in a demanding, fast-paced and team–oriented setting.
