Econo Lodge Champaign-Urbana University area is a newly renovated mid-sized hotel located within proximity of Carle Hospital, Market Place Shopping Center, and the University of Illinois.

This position is responsible for operating the hotel's front desk system for reservations, and check-in/check-out in accordance with company standards for quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction. Work Objectives: Process guest reservations, including the computation and collection of payment. Complete and verify all audit paperwork and shift reports in accordance with company policies and procedures. Communicate all pertinent shift information to General Manager and other desk staff. Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, reservations attractions, directions, etc. send and receive telephone calls and facsimiles; sort incoming mail and messages. Must Smile, acknowledge, and greet guests at the front desk and other public areas. Must be willing to work as a team, willing to work a flexible schedule and be willing to clean and maintain public spaces. Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift a minimum of 20lbs as front desk does assist in processing the laundry for the entire hotel. Minimum Skill Requirements: Must be able to operate basic office machines i.e. copier, fax, printer, etc. Must display very good organization and time management skills. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities. Must be able to consistently work under pressure and simultaneously prioritize multiple projects. Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience: Previous experience in the service industry is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
