Clover Leaf is looking for an experienced Nuclear Compliance Engineer to join our growing team. The position will involve work at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory site at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA.

Job Description:

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navy's submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for a Compliance Engineer to join our team to support new and existing radiological facilities and the upgrade, repair, and maintenance of site infrastructure.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products
• Interface with a wide variety of stakeholders during scoping, engineering, and troubleshooting.
• Apply detailed engineering solutions that touch upon the mechanical, radiological, structural, and environmental fields in order to improve upon existing operations;
• Creating work packages based on governing documents and training, researching facility operations and industry best practices; interacting with the operations team as the work package is implemented in the facility.
• Learn how to merge traditional engineering with radiological controls.
• Specific training will be provided to qualified individuals

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering
• Proven working experience in Radiological work
• Provide technical direction and support for the execution of radiological work.
• Work in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Experience working on federal projects
• Ability to communicate project status to various internal and external parties
• Work collaboratively with project teams
