Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Danbury Hospital Nuclear Cardiology - Part/Time - 32 hours per week, 8 hour shifts, Monday- Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Summary:
The utilization of radiopharmaceuticals and related instruments to measure their concentration in various organ systems for the diagnosis and treatment of specific pathological disorders.
Responsibilities:
1. Knowledge and ability to perform and teach nuclear cardiology procedures including Cardiac PET/CT/
2. Proper interpersonal relations between physicians, co-workers and patients and monitoring of patients during tests.
3. Performs radiopharmaceutical ordering receipt surveying preparation. Dispersal and disposition.
4. Quality control and operation of nuclear medicine instruments.
5. Adherence to ALARA and radiation safety rules and regulations.
6. Relating to and caring for patients.
7. Scheduling, record keeping, proper phone etiquette, retrieval and archival of procedure records.
8. Achieves the organization's established expectations regarding quality service, team work and staff development.
9. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
Associate's Level Degree
Minimum Experience: zero to six months
Salary Range:
$39.2100 - $72.8300 Hourly
