Job Description
Full Time Evening Shift Performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluids. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Documents patient interactions as needed. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. High school diploma or equivalent. No experience necessary. Equal Opportunity Employer.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of unit leadership and the clinical leadership of a clinical nurse, routinely supports the unit through the provision of basic patient care, clerical and reception services.
MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
No specific experience is required. Lutheran Health Network facilities will provide formalized training classes; successful completion is required in order to continue employment. Additional orientation specific to unit responsibilities may also be provided.
Education:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
Registration/Certification/Licensure: BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days from start date in position. Successful completion of unit required education classes (ie: Intro to EKG, etc.) Must complete within the first 30 days of hire date, as applicable.
