We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner who will provide Primary Care Services, including HIV, STD and Substance Use Disorder treatment at the Comprehensive Care Practice. Medical care will include obtaining a medical history, performing appropriate physical examinations, assessing and resolving problems through appropriate medical management and managing prescription medications for patients. Will maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Provide all aspects of primary care services and management to patients in the Comprehensive Care Practice, including treatment for HIV, STDs and Substance Use Disorder. Timely documentation is required.

Document and bill through use of the EPIC electronic medical record.
Provide counseling/prevention counseling for patients.
Provide referrals to specialty providers.
Attend trainings as required for clinical proficiency.

Maintain adequate documentation as per JHU policy.
Maintain current NP licensure and CME requirements.

Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, multi-organizational team setting with a high degree of motivation and flexibility.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow through.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in nursing; Registered Nurse license and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner.
Must be licensed as NP in State of Maryland or other state where practicing.
Additional experience may substitute for master's degree, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with HIV, STD and Substance Use Disorder preferred.

**Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR certification required. Must maintain current licensure and certification during duration of employment. Completion of the JHH credentialing process is required prior to start date**

Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing and walking for extended period. Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s). Ability to move standard equipment through a hospital or clinical environment.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.
