Job Summary and Qualifications

• Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.
• Purges and files film folders
• Processes Imaging check-in/check-out requests and creates imaging CDs
• Inputs imaging information into the hospital computer system
• Answers incoming telephone calls and routes calls appropriately
• Places calls and pages for radiologists and radiology residents
• Assists staff physicians and radiologists by locating patient images and reports
• Locates and sorts x-ray images needed for surgery, endoscopy, and various conferences
• Demonstrates PACS functions to view images and verify reports
• Performs all other duties as assigned

What qualifications you will need:

Education

• One to two years of previous office or hospital experience

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written
• Knowledge of various types of office equipment such as basic computer skills, telephone system, and fax machines
• Knowledge of human anatomy and radiological procedures
