Role of the AGILE Champion
The AGILE Champion role is full-time dedicated to Operations Excellence as a part of the Business Excellence team.
This role is designed to attract individuals to lead change and continuous improvements.- AGILE Champions go through a certification process which will build important capabilities in operational excellence, digital technologies and cultural change.
- This is a significant investment in the development and career opportunity for individuals and will help them build the skills, behaviors and mindset for success.
- Upon 2+ years of successful term in this role, AGILE Champions will be recognized as candidates for future opportunities to further progress their careers in the organization.
What you bring to Takeda:
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree required.- 3 years of related experience.
- Background in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement and Lean
The AGILE Champion (OE focus) will lead & advocate for AGILE Operational Excellence (OE) deployment for an important area such as Fractionation, Purification or Engineering Maintenance. This involves collaboratively planning, building skills, and driving deployment of elements of the AGILE Operating System (AOS) that help the area achieve its goals.
Represent AGILE in manufacturing as the contact for improving operations and mindset.- Use AGILE methods and tools to guide the site strategy to achieve its transformational (breakthrough) goals faster.
This includes:
Identify opportunities aligned with strategy- Build the business case to create momentum
- Connect and collaborate with global, regional and OpU groups to bring Good Practices to the site and to share our Good Practices with others through our Community of Practice (COP) program
- Become 'approved' by Global OE to deliver workshops and lead implementations
- Become a role model in AGILE mindset, demonstrate important skills in root-cause, 5S, Standard Work, Visual systems (including Tier mechanisms) and GEMBA
- Open to doing and implementing things differently.
- Demonstrate structured, logical, important and analytical thinking.
- Must have organizational and project management abilities along with knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement approaches.
Other Job Requirements
Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 10 lbs .- In general, you will have a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions in the facility.
- Can work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body.
- No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment.
- Will work in a cold, wet environment
- Must be able to work multiple shifts, including weekends .
- May work in a confined area .
- Some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions .

Important Considerations
At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:
Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.- Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
- Work in a cold, wet environment.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
- Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
