American English College is a private, English as a Second Language school with two campus locations in sunny California. We have been providing quality English programs to international students from around the world since 1983.

We are looking for a Operations + Student Services Coordinator to join our management team in helping us with daily operations of both centers, create a warm and welcoming environment for international students, and continue improving our students services.

Our Operations + Student Services Coordinator will work cross functionally with the following departments:

  • Management + Administration
  • Partnerships + New Business
  • Marketing
  • Accreditation + Compliance

Role

  • Administrative: Assist operations team with daily administrative duties such as answer student questions, managing current student accounts, enrolling new students, and etc. Work collaboratively with both departments (administration and education) to execute new strategies and problem solve issues.
  • Student Services: Assist team in coordinating monthly student activities, help students with coordinating and managing host family communication and needs
  • Marketing: Research and create new marketing content including but not limited to social media posts, video content, etc.
  • Partnerships + New Business: Research, vet, and engage with potential partners that will lead to new ventures while growing with existing partner relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or relevant field

1-2 years experience in:

  • International Education Industry
  • Student support, recruitment, and business development – preferably in an educational environment
  • Project management
  • Digital Marketing via Social Media and Google Adwords
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent in Spanish or another language

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Los Angeles, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Administrative: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Social Media Marketing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Business Development: 1 year (Preferred)
