In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our newer Oral Finished Products (OFP) tableting facility in Durham, NC sits on 194,000 square feet of state-of-the-art equipment and supports the production of our innovative oral treatments for patients with type 2 diabetes. Position Purpose

Serves as key member of shift production leadership team, providing operations support & coaching.


Accountabilities

  • Acts as a process advocate, coordinating daily schedule with Work Cell Leaders & support groups, removing barriers & enabling processes to run optimally
  • Serves as coach & mentor for team members related to oral finished production, behavior & mindset by:
    • Visualizing / tracking events & actions
    • Confirming that operators understand & follow processes & procedures
    • Verifying solutions work & are shared across shifts
  • Executes process confirmations of SOP’s & JI’s used on shift & work with process teams to proactively improve quality & compliance
  • Resolves / elevates issues related to systems such as ADP, PAS-X & SAP
  • Implements process improvements
  • Observes & enforces all safety & environmental requirements
  • Manages development planning & training process for operators on shift
  • Assists with coordination of maintenance tasks on the line
  • Handles simple deviations & assists with unplanned production issues
  • Assists with Sample coordination
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education & relevant industry experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of oral solid dosage experience


Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies & achieving sustainable process improvements
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly in writing & in presentations
  • Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning methodologies & can use multiple methods to train & coach others
  • Computer expertise in the following applications: MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP & LIMS
  • Experience planning, organizing, managing execution, checking results & revising work plans


Physical & Other Requirements

  • Routinely moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility using various body positions
  • Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands
  • Must be able to be on your feet for up to a 10-hour shift
  • May require corrected vision to 20/25 based on role
  • May require color vision based on role
  • Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear latex gloves
  • Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection
