Optical Sales Consultant Job at Vision World of Pelham Manor
Optical sales person needed! Two privately owned opticals in Westchester, NY seeking a motivated individual who can multitask and enjoys working with people. We are looking for someone who is reliable, good attitude and eager to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records
- Verify/maintain insurance authorizations prior to servicing patients
- Provide customers with helpful advice and product information for eyeglasses and/or contact lenses
- Assist patients with selecting new eyeglasses with customized fittings
- Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the exam lane maintenance and patient experience such as restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, provide OD with patient eyewear history and insurance information
- Other day-to-day duties include, but are not limited to, answering telephones, booking appointments, unpack daily shipments, notifying patients when their eyewear order is ready for pick up and daily cleaning
- Provide each patient with a personalized customer service experience.
In addition to optical sales, other responsibilities may include appointment making, front desk administrative duties and overall customer service.
Time will be split between our 2 offices: Vision World in Pelham Manor, NY and Scarsdale, NY; Monday - Saturday
This position is part-time with the potential of becoming full-time.
Experience is perferred but not required.
Saturdays are a must.
