Optometric Assistant / Technician / Sales Job at Optical Illusions

This role works closely with our doctors in hands-on patient care.
Job Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Greeting and welcoming incoming patients
- Performing examination pre-testing and medical history for each patient appointment
- Maintaining/cleaning/scheduling repairs of ophthalmic equipment/machines
- Exam room maintenance (cleaning, organizing, restocking)
- Taking regular inventory of ophthalmic supplies, placing orders as needed, and keeping all exam and testing rooms stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assisting with administrative duties as needed: appointment scheduling, faxing/calling in medication prescriptions for the optometrist to the pharmacy, filling records requests, preparing and sending referrals for patient care, and more.
- Training contact lens patients who are first-time wearers on proper insertion and removal of contacts

We are looking to train the right charismatic individual for this role, so experience is preferred but not necessary. Certification as a Paraoptometric available after the first year and additional certification levels are obtainable which can lead to increased compensation.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
