Optometry Office Assistant at Private Practice in La Verne

Growing private optometry office in La Verne looking for an energetic, friendly, hardworking, honest, caring, DETAIL ORIENTED, professional, and caring individual to join our team! AT LEAST ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE in Optometry office preferred.

Duties include (but not limited to):

- Answering calls using multi-line system

- General admin tasks such as scheduling and confirming appointments, filing, scanning

- Verifying vision and medical insurances, explaining benefits to patients

- Pre-testing patients and verifying glasses

- Dispensing and adjusting glasses

- Calling patients to pick-up glasses and contact lenses

- Presenting and selling glasses and contact lenses with the opportunity for bonuses

The position is full-time, 35-38 hours per week with consistent schedule. Saturdays are mandatory for this position from 8-1, and the office is closed on Sundays. Our office strives to provide the highest level of customer service, and treats our patients with respect and integrity, therefore we expect our team members to do the same:

- MUST be detail oriented with strong follow-through skills in order to succeed

- MUST be comfortable on the phone with adequate phone etiquette

- MUST present yourself professionally

- MUST be willing to be a team player and share duties

- MUST be responsible and reliable with superior attendance

Compensation depends on experience with opportunity to earn monthly bonuses. Full health and dental benefit available for eligible employees. Our office is easily accessible from San Dimas, Glendora, Azusa, Covina, Upland, Claremont, Pomona, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Chino, Montclair, and Ontario.
