Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) is one of the largest non-profit Youth and Family Support agencies working with high-risk youth and their families in the United States. Currently, YAP employs more than 2,000 dedicated workers and serves approximately 20,000 families per year. Our mission is to engage human service systems so that they rely less on institutional care and to invest more in supporting families and neighborhoods. We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability, and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, young people, young adults and families.

Overview:

Mental Health Outpatient Therapist at the Master’s level is needed to help make a difference in people’s lives. The therapist will provide direct therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults at our Youth Advocate Program’s Family Clinic in Dauphin County, PA. The therapist ensures that all components of the client’s treatment plan are being implemented as specified by the treatment plan. Therapists are supported by the clinic director and psychiatrist. Referrals are made for case coordination and accessing community resources for clients. Clinically licensed therapists are preferred but not required.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology.

• Duties include but are not limited to Child and Family Therapy, Treatment Plan development, and implementation of treatment plans.
• Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and car insurance limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
