Outpatient Pediatric Therapy Collections Manager Job at Kids in Motion Pediatric Therapy
Kids in Motion Pediatric Therapy located in Torrance, CA, is a multi-disciplinary outpatient Pediatric Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy practice. We employ a fun loving and hard working collaborative group of 36 therapists and 12 Admin personnel and are looking forward to meeting the newest member of our team.
We are currently seeking an experienced Collections Manager to work together with our Collections Specialists, Authorizations Specialist and Billing Manager to track, manage, and suppport the billing and collections needs of the practice.
The job responsibilities include:
- Supervision of 2 Collections Specialists to support their collections efforts for their assigned accounts.
- Assisting with the resolution of complex claims processing scenarios when needed.
- Communicating with insurance carriers via phone, email or web portal to resolve unpaid or incorrectly paid claims.
- Preparing and submitting appeal letters as needed.
- Managing the accounts receivable aging report, communicating with the Collections Specialists as needed to insure timely filing and follow up of past due accounts.
Candidates that meet ALL of the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
- Minimum 3 years of full time equivalent experience in medical collections including contacting insurance carriers to facilitate the re-processing of incorrectly paid claims. Experience with Outpatient Pediatric Therapy collections preferred.
- Experience and proficiency with Raintree EMR preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management.
- Solid understanding of revenue cycle management related to medical billing and collections.
