Outside Sales Representative - TBC Supply

Commercial HVAC material supplier based the Atlanta, GA, has an immediate openings for Outside Sales Representatives. The position will be responsible for the consultative sales of the TBC Supply for installation in the commercial and industrial markets. It will be responsible for generating new customers and managing existing ones. We are starting with a focus on Big Ass Fan, but I want to make sure that we are focused on pulling in additional Tom Barrow line card products whenever possible when interfacing with end-user clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Execute an annual business plan to meet the aggressive growth expectations within our
  • strategic and national accounts.
  • Lead all aspects of the sales process, while calling upon BAF sales resources to assist in
  • solution development, proposal delivery, and installation.
  • Prospect strategically within manufacturing, distribution, and automotive markets to ensure a
  • large volume of qualified opportunities.
  • Ensure optimum customer relations among existing customers and prospective customers.
  • Assess customer requests for products and make appropriate recommendations based on
  • needs and applications.
  • Participate in trade shows as needed.
  • Record and update correspondence and activities in Salesforce.
  • Exceed monthly and yearly sales targets.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Sales and Marketing skills ability to strategically present HVAC equipment to mechanical contractors and mechanical engineers, capitalizing on needs and opportunities. This would include mentoring quotations and presenting proposals.
  • Technical Product Knowledge Pre-Sale and Post-Sale technical support for equipment produced by approximately 100+ manufacturers; working knowledge of Psychrometric (the field of engineering concerned with the determination of physical and thermodynamic properties of gas-vapor mixtures.)
  • Customer Relationship skills ability to develop working relationship with mechanical contractors and engineers by anticipating and meeting customer needs
  • Job Management Skills current projects may number from fifty to one hundred fifty jobs at different stages of development; organizational and communication skills are a must
  • Problem Solving ability to creatively address problem issues to point of resolution; these would include application, delivery, billing/collection issues as well as addressing job site issues
  • Computer skills Microsoft Windows environment software used for selection, pricing, quoting, submittals, ordering, expediting shipment, billing, communicating with factories and customers
  • Multi-tasking and stress management
  • Must be willing to travel extensively.
  • Strong business acumen, leadership skills, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as have a team-oriented disposition
  • Physical Requirements: mobility, bending, stooping, ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree strongly preferred
  • Preferably (5) years experience direct selling, marketing within a manufacturing or related industry
  • Familiarity with Salesforce preferred.
