Job Description:

At Shredfast Inc., we are looking for a part-time/on-call driver with a clean CDL Class A or Class B driver’s license.

The driver’s primary responsibility is to transport our vanbody trucks & mobile document disposal / shredding trucks from the manufacturing plant to the customers facility/location. Most of the vehicles will be transported out of state. It is important for the driver to know DOT rules and regulations; weight scales, logbooks, and the necessary permits for transporting the equipment across state lines. This position will be doing overnight trips throughout the USA. Company will cover food, lodging, fuel, and associated expenses.

This position must be a self-starter, act professionally, be able to take direction, meticulously organized, and be able to navigate efficiently while on local or national route(s).

Job responsibilities:

· Plan routes and meet delivery schedules

· Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures

· Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

· Report defects, accidents, or violations

· Be able to drive in all-weather conditions

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

· Knowledge of applicable DOT truck driving rules and regulations which include weight scales, logbooks, and permits.

· No recent moving or driving violations

· Valid drivers license for our non-CDL units (CDL required for any units over 26,000GVWR)

· Must be personable as you will be dealing with our customers with whom we wish to maintain positive relationships

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment UA and background check

Physical Requirements:

In order to meet all expectations of this position while performing the duties of this job, the team member would be required to talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to sit for extended periods; walk; reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, squat, reach overhead, or crawl.

Shift Schedule:

There is currently no set schedule for the driver. At times the driver could be out of town for multiple days while delivering equipment (CDL drivers only), mobile secure document disposal & shredding trucks or our Shredfast line of vanbody trucks (non-CDL is allowed as trucks are under GVWR), transporting to or from customer(s) locations.
