Hours worked after 5 pm qualify for shift differential

Job Title: Registered Nurse
Location: Voorhees, NJ
Hours: Monday to Friday, 4 pm to 9:30 pm

SUMMARY – The overall purpose and objective of this position is to perform intravenous injections and provide nursing care as needed.

  • Starting and maintaining IV access for patients needing contrast injections
  • Monitoring patients receiving IV contrast
  • Documenting IV contrast reactions and extravasations
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all medications in the office, including the crash cart
  • Be responsible for the AED maintenance and QC
  • Provide SJRA/LIA employees with yearly flu vaccines
  • Provide medical care for patients, physicians and staff in urgent situations
  • Management of emergent care under the direction of the Radiologist and arrange medical transport to the hospital
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations
  • Punctuality and regular attendance
  • All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing School or College
  • Current, valid RN license in the State of New Jersey
  • Current BLS/ACLS and CPR certifications
  • Three (3) years nursing experience
  • ICU/CCU or TELEMETRY experience preferred
  • Strong IV skills
  • Basic knowledge of contrast mediums and their use in Radiology
  • Basic computer skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment (i.e. fax machine, copier, multiline telephone, etc.)
Physical Demands of the Position – Position requires sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting and reaching during scheduled shift. There is frequent use of computer, keyboard and computer mouse.
