The Events Coordinator is responsible for planning and execution of Office for URaCE events and special initiatives. This position is part-time and requires some evening and weekend hours.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates registration and oversight of Office for URaCE workshops, maintains accurate information and databases, reserves rooms and food for sessions, sets up sessions, and other related tasks
  • Monitors the Office for URaCE registration initiative, tracks registrations, and communicates with registrants as needed
  • Plans and executes on-campus Office for URaCE special events such as panels and symposia, selects event locations, coordinates event logistics, manages invitation and RSVP processes, oversees coordination and preparation of event-related items including: event correspondence, name tags, and database updates, and attends all events to oversee logistics on site
  • Manages the planning and execution of the UTC spring and fall research conferences, selects event locations, coordinates event logistics, manages invitation and RSVP processes, oversees coordination and preparation of event-related items including: event correspondence, social media posts, marketing tasks, name tags, database updates and other related tasks, and attends all events to oversee logistics on site
  • Serves as Office for URaCE MocSync administrator, maintains and updates site as needed
  • Represents the office at orientation, recruitment, and related events during the fall, spring, and summer semesters, and attend events on and off campus
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Typically requires a high school diploma and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of event planning, or similar experience are preferred.

Compensation for this position is up to $22 per hour (dependent upon education, experience, skills, etc.) This is a part-time, temporary position, paid bi-weekly, and is not eligible for benefits.
