Job Title: Part-Time Professor

Job Description: Castleton University is seeking a part-time professor to teach in the social work program. Beginning in the fall 2023 semester, the part-time faculty would teach Human Sexuality. The course delivery method is in-person. The new part-time faculty member would become part of our roster for future opportunities to teach part-time.

About Castleton University: Castleton is a small liberal arts university nestled in the mountains of western Vermont. Approximately 2000 students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs. Faculty, staff, and students interact with each other like a family. Classes are small which allows for close connections between students and faculty. The social work program has been accredited since 1981, reaccredited in 2021. There are three full-time and five part-time faculty who work closely together to prepare students for professional social work practice. Part-time faculty are part of the faculty team.

Requirements: The applicant must have an MSW from a CSWE accredited social work program. The applicant must also have prior experience in teaching at the university level, providing training to the staff of their agency, or presenting at state or national conferences.
