Huntington Learning Center in East Northport is seeking teachers to teach on a part-time basis with students in grades K-12.

At Huntington, we offer children ages 5 to17 tutoring in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Study Skills, Phonics, Vocabulary, and Science. In order to ensure that our students have a successful educational experience, our tutors are required to go through intensive initial and ongoing training in Huntington's teaching methods and our highly developed curriculum.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Teaching Certification is a plus, but not required.

Our tutors mainly help students with subjects such as:

• Reading Comprehension and Skills.
• Math.
• Phonics.
• Vocabulary.
• Writing.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-existing lesson plans.
• Be punctual to all appointments.
• Maintain student progress records.
• Research learning resources to use during lessons.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience working as a tutor would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A driver's license with access to a vehicle.
• Be punctual and professional.
