The Uftring Auto Group consists of eleven automotive franchises at six car dealerships in Peoria, East Peoria, Washington and North Pekin, Illinois. Responsibilities
-
Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
-
Converse effectively/efficiently regarding customer parts status
-
Read and understand the parts catalog when looking up and pulling specific parts
-
Answer phone calls, provide price quotes and other information to customers
- Notify the Service and Body Shop departments on special order parts
-
Provide high level service to both internal and external customers
-
Pull/fill orders from stock and maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock
-
Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention

Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submit an emergency order, if necessary
-
Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order
-
Receive payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization
-
Participate in training programs
-
Assist walk in customers
-
Verify "will calls" and back orders weekly

Assist service technicians
-
Order parts not in stock
-
Keep current on new products and updates
Qualifications
-
One year of experience in an automotive parts department
-
ASE certification is preferred
-
Basic automotive knowledge
- Professional personal appearance

Strong interpersonal and time management skills
-
Ability to read/interpret safety and maintenance documents
-
Valid Illinois driver's license with an acceptable driving record
-
Ability to work well with public, sometimes with several customers at a time
Hours
Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. one week then 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Monday through Friday with every other Saturday
