Patient Advocates are responsible for all clerical and front desk administration duties, including but not limited to greeting guests, answering telephones, scheduling patients and payment collection.
Description of Primary Responsibilities
- Patient Advocates are responsible for all clerical and front desk administration duties, including but not limited to greeting guests, answering telephones, scheduling patients and payment collection.
- Responsible for customer service
- Responsible for patient check in/check out.
- Communicate with patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Task and inform the appropriate provider of the communication.
- Use sound judgment in handling calls, especially with upset patients.
- Understanding of when to escalate calls to Providers/Regional manager/triage nurse.
- Service patients, make reminder calls as requested and reschedule appointments when necessary.
- Maintain orderly and professional work areas.
- Assist with audits and surveys as directed by Patient Advocate Coordinator.
- Participate in QA/QI and other meetings as directed.
