Job Description
Emergency Care Center PRN Under the immediate supervision of the Team Leader or Team Specialist or other designated management and the clinical leadership of a Registered Nurse, provides auxiliary patient care services to meet the personal and routine care needs of patients, and provides clerical services to meet the needs of the nursing unit.
Licensure: Must obtain and maintain:
- BCLS within 60 days of hire
- EKG – Basic within 90 days of hire
- CPI within 6 months of hire
- NICHE- GPCA within 1 year of hire
Experience: Prefer one year of unit secretary and/or nursing technician experience.
Other:
Demonstrates a basic understanding of the roles of a Unit Secretary and Nursing Technician in relationship with other medical services Team Members.
Requires a basic understanding of the related behaviors, needs, and comfort measures appropriate to the age (including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) and diagnosis of the patient served in order to support the provision of an individualized multidisciplinary plan of care.
Age of patient served per area of assignment:
Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external customers.
