Northwestern Medical Center's mission is to provide exceptional healthcare for our community and we are currently recruiting for a Full-time Patient Safety Sitter opportunity.

EXPECTED HOURS/SHIFT: Full-Time (80 hours bi-weekly), generally 7:00 a- 3:30 p, to include every other weekend

JOB SUMMARY:
The Patient Safety Sitter provides quality patient safety monitoring services under the direction of a licensed professional. The Patient Safety Sitter proactively maintains a safe environment for the patient by providing continuous monitoring and reporting potential unsafe and harmful behaviors. The Patient Safety Sitter is also responsible for cleaning, as well as other duties assigned by Manager of Environmental Services.
PREREQUISITES
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Hospital experience preferred.
Other: Must successfully complete training related to de-escalation of patients and dementia patients within 2 months of hire. Able to effectively communicate with employees, supervisors/managers and staff as well as patients and visitors as required. Keen vision acuity to maintain safe environment. Work set shift as assigned by Manager of EVS.
